A valley resident for over 20 years and in practice almost 40 years, Dr. Evans received his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Pacific University and Optometry degree from Pacific University. That adds up to over three decades of experience at providing medical and refractive eye care. “I believe that patients suffering from vision impairment from diseases like macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, glaucoma, optic neuritis, trauma, retinitis pigmentosa and host of other conditions deserve the opportunity to expand on the vision they have.” says Dr. Evans. As a fellow of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists he has extensive post doctoral training in Low Vision. It has become his passion to not only provide low vision care but to continue to participate in the latest developments in the delivery of this care.
“Low Vision allows me to help patients lead more normal lives, enriching their abilities to function and restoring their independence and self esteem.” Dr. Evans
Many low vision patients have been told by their eye doctors that there is nothing else that can be done. Thanks to the miracle of prescription low vision devices such as telescopes, bioptics and microscopes Dr. Evans can help patients cope with visual impairment.
